DANGEROUS BUILDINGS HEARING MINUTES November 8, 2017 1:00 P.M. CITY HALL 10 N. DIVISION STREET COMMISSION CHAMBERS 3RD FLOOR – ROOM 301 BATTLE CREEK MI 49014 1. Call to Order: 1:05 pm 2. Roll Call: Carman Hamilton 3. Staff Members Present: Don Wilkinson, Building Official; Richard Bolek, Chief Building Official; Lisa Silkworth, Secretary 4. Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: none 5. Approval of Minutes: Carman Hamilton approved the minutes from the October 11, 2017 6. New Business: a. 16 Fourth St Issue#EN17-09388 Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson Property owner, not present. Don Wilkinson, Building Official, stated the house was severely damaged by fire and recommended affirming the property as a Dangerous Building. Carman Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and gave thirty days to bring it into compliance. Affirmed. b. 161 W Rittenhouse Issue#EN17-09387 Building Inspector: Don Wilkinson Property owner, not present. Don Wilkinson, Building Official, stated the house was heavily damaged by fire and recommended affirming the property as a Dangerous Building. Carman Hamilton affirmed the property as a Dangerous Building and gave thirty days to bring it into compliance. Affirmed. 7.
