City of Battle Creek Election Commission Meeting 10 N. Division Street – Room 111 Battle Creek, MI May 6, 2019 4:00 PM Present: Steve Hudson, City Assessor and Victoria Houser, City Clerk Absent: Jill Steele, City Attorney Guests: None Call to Order: Clerk Houser called the meeting to order at 4:30 P.M., noting a quorum was present. Election Inspector Assignments Clerk Houser informed the Commission that the Clerk would not be able to serve on the Precinct Board for the entirety of Election Day due to a busy Commission schedule that same evening. As a result, Deputy Clerk Alicia Sackett would serve as a precinct inspector and a new Receiving Board member needed to be approved. Clerk Houser noted the revised Election Inspector assignment list would be sent to the County Elections Clerk following the meeting. A motion was made by Clerk Houser, supported by Assessor Hudson, to approve the addition of Scott Silkworth to serve as a Receiving Board member, and Alicia Sackett to serve as a Precinct Inspector, for the May 7, 2019 Special Election.
