Goguac Lake Board Meeting Public Works Complex 150 S. Kendall Street Room 204 Battle Creek, Michigan 49037 December 8, 2016 Board Members Present: John Avery, Gerardyne Drozdowski Board Members Absent: Kathy-Sue Dunn, Christine Kosmowski, David Walters Others Present: Kurt Tribbett, Tony Graves, Nelson Karre, Camille Smith, Heather Davis Call to Order: Meeting started at 4:02 p.m., was not called to order since we didn’t have a quorum. Dunn was unable to make the meeting due to the weather. Approval of Minutes: No action was taken. Quarterly Financial Report: No action was taken. Aquatic Plant Control: Groves did hand out copies of the Standard Aquatic Vegetation Summary Sheet from the surveys that were done on September 15, 2015 and on August 1, 2016. The spread of Eurasian milfoil was at 9.9% coverage and is now down to 0%, twelve of the native species are still the same and the results are spot on. Results of these surveys have been submitted to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. This 5-year program is funded through December 2017 (calendar year) and May 2017 is the last assessment year. A decision will need to be made if another assessment for 2018 needs to be done, possibly at the March 2017 meeting. Weed Pickup: No action was taken. Public Comment: No action was taken. Board Member Comments: We need to reach out to Fred Heaton, the new Water Resources Commissioner for Calhoun County starting in January 2017. Meeting Adjourned: Meeting was adjourned at 4:17 p.m.
