CITY OF BATTLE CREEK HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION MEETING 10 North Division, Battle Creek, MI 49014 Minutes for Monday, January 13, 2025 MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 3:32 ATTENDANCE: Comm. Davis, Present Comm. Thornton, Present Comm. Case, Present Staff Present: Travis Sullivan, Planner Administrator, Melody Carlsen, Administrative Assistant. NEW BUSINESS: A. HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION DESIGN GUIDELINES DISCUSSION Travis Sullivan gave a brief overview of the role the Steering Committee and the process of developing, and eventually drafting a set of historic district design guidelines and as well as a set of policies and procedures for the consideration of proposed projects where economic and technical feasibility or hardship exits.
