WESTALKE/PRAIRIEVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING COUNCIL #10 Meeting Minutes August 26, 2019 Call to Order & Welcome Chair, Jeff Koteles called the meeting to order at 7:05pm (no quorum) Attendance: Members: Chairman: Jeff Koteles , Vice Chair Dave Weaver, Diana Cole, Karol Henegar, Maryjane Cipcic ,Tom Rose Guests: Commissioner Baldwin, Carol Quiun, City staff: Jason Francisco city code compliance, Battle Creek officer Beyer Chair Notes/Correspondence/Announcements: none Additions/Deletions to the Agenda: none Minutes: no quorum Police Report: officer Beyer stated call numbers are high, approx. 650 July calls Public service announcements from commissioners: Commissioner Baldwin noted that the capital ave bridge over I-94 would be closed for most of September for repairs, and that the Milton will begin leasing apartments October 1st. Committee Reports: Membership: looking for new members Beautiful Battle Creek award: Woodland Park: 6 new eagle scout projects have been completed, trail work to be done Lakeview Schools: middle school choir room completed, café at riverside and westlake running two weeks behind, new electric sign in front of the middle school, district to add a Burmese liaison. District has 18 new staff members. City Staff Report: Jason Francisco stated that double the normal number of permits have been issued.
