Call to Order & Welcome: Pastor Joe Hooper, Chair called the NPC#2 meeting at 7:00 p.m. 2. Attendance: Members Present: Ron Sweet, Comm. Lynn Ward Gray, Jeffery Dinkins, Robmieka Gibson, Kitty Hillian, Karen Todd, Jeff Breedlove, Bettie Robertson, Geraldine King, Kristyn Denison, Whitney Wardell, Matthew Bruski. GUEST: Kelly Dillman, Officer Brad Gentry, Dennis McKinley, Noah Hollander, Bridget Banks, Comm. Rochelle Hatcher, Kristin Roux and Kristin McDermott. 3. Approval of Minutes: postponed 4. Correspondence (sent/received) & Announcements: Battle Creek Area Transportation Study, Jan 2019 Newsletter.// Neighborhoods Inc, Grant programs for Homeowner information sessions 2-21-19 5. Guest Presentation (1) Kristin McDermott, Calhoun County Health Dept.; Kristin Roux, Regional Health Alliance, BCCF; and team, conducted an one hour Health Needs Assessments. The data will be complied and used to formulate action plans. 6. Committee & City Staff Reports: a. Police Department: Officer Gentry reporting: annual comparison of data from all NPC areas in a new format providing more data and statistics. Kelly Dillman- the 2019 Citizen Police Academy, the academy is accepting applications NOW. The academy runs From March 6, through May 15. Schools Noah Hollander, principal BC Central---Preview of high School new plan of two schools in one bldg. i. Community Engagement: NPC2 –NONE 7. Old Business: Members to Address Election matters// secretary position//meeting etiquette. 8. New Business: THE MARCH 11, MEETING IS CANCELLED// the council will discuss action items around Voter Education, citizen participation for the 2020 election. 9.
