CALL TO ORDER/TIME CONVENED: 7:02 pm
ATTENDANCE;
Members: Tim Conlogue, Cynde Foster, Bob Kist, Gloria Mansfield, Pastor Janet Wilson, Tim Cole
Excused: Carla Berner, Al Berner, Cari Briggs, Trudy Hall, Elisha Hodge, Bryan Mayes

APPROVAL OF JANUARY 12, 2023 MINUTES; No Quorum
CITY STAFF REPORTS;
Police Department: Reports were handed out. Vehicles driving around with no license plates still was
discussed, number of arrests, larcenies, homless problems.

Beautiful Battle Creek Awards (residential and/or Business): R 83 W. Goguac
Businesses Report: Owner of Uncle Dog’s has bought the Plaza Strip that his business is in
OLD BUSINESS TO BE FINALIZED; None
NEW BUSINESS; Reminder that Elections need to be held (March Meeting)
NEW BUSINESS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS; Presentation by Pastor Janet and Tim Cole to brainstorm on
how to increase Membership
SPEAKER: John Hart came to talk about Projects within our NPC3 boundaries. He handed out a paper
map on the proposed housing/commercial project on the old Kmart Property.
Discussion on the Capital Ave. corridor (hoping to improve on it, residential and businesses).
Grant availabilities. You can look up “Small Business Development” on the
Battle Creek City Web Site to see a map.
PUBLIC/GUEST COMMENTS: None
MEMBERS COMMENTS: Tim Conlogue handed out BCATS Reports and maps from a MDOT Meeting
about future work on M66 (Penetrator), what might you like to see done or problems
That currently exist.
Gloria Mansfield mentioned how you can hear what is happening in Battle
Creek on a program called “community Matter” on WBCK (95.3 fm) on Saturday
Mornings from 8 to 9am Also mentioned new “snow removal” times the City
Commission approved and how she read of changes in our electric bills from Consumer’s
(bill credits for the next 12 months, due to losing a law suit)…yet our rates were
increased also
