Meeting was called to order by Chairman Whitfield at 7:04PM. Chairman Whitfield called for a moment of silence. 2. Attendance; Robert Whitfield, Deborah Owens, Fred Bachman, Brad Gentry, David Moore, Sara Schmanske, Hal Longman, Kathy Antaya, Patricia Graw, Johnny Vick, Catherine LaValley, Freeman Thomas, Paula Scarbrough, Terry Lancaster, Brian Steele, Staff: Dennis McKinley, Code Compliance; Stephen Herbstreith, BCPD; Todd Gerber, Department of Public Works; Guests: Roger Balland Excused absence: Beverly Case, Curtis Roberts 3. Chairman Whitfield reported that a Planning Commission meeting was being held on December 14th. 4. There were no additions or deletions to the agenda 5. November minutes were approved with amendments 6. Officer Herbstreith reported on some assaults (B&E’s), and drug arrests. Nothing indicating any patterns or significant problems. 72 foot patrols and 28 traffic stops. 7. Guest speaker Todd Gerber; Department of Public Works distributed a handout and 300 discussed the manner in which the city maintains over 300 miles of roads. The snow removal budget for the city is $1.9M. 8. A.Cathrine LaValley informed us of a School Board meeting next week. The meeting will start the School Superintendent evaluation process. It will be the last meeting of the current school board as 3 new members start at the January meeting. Emphasis on using the Field House for all home basketball games and other activities. It is desirable to use the historic facility. B. Sara Schamske reported that 95 Cedar Ave. was the recipient of this months Beautiful Battle Creek award. 9. There was no old business 10. New officers were elected by unanimous acclimation; a. Chairman: Robert Whitfield b. Vice Chair; Kathy Antaya  c. Secretary; Paul Scarbrough 11. No new business 12. Commissioner Deborah Owens reported that the planning commission will meet on December 14th at 4PM. 13. Member asked about status on the Morgan Ave. speed bumps? Quest suggested an interest in a dog park in Fell Park. 14. Adjourned at 8:09PM
