1. Call to Order & Welcome @ 7:02 p.m.:
2. Atendance: Member (M): Kathy Antaya, Sharlene VanLuven, Fred Bachman, Nancy Hoard,
David Moore, Roger Ballard, Heather Straton, Catherine LaValley, Cheryl Roberts, Johnny Vick,
JoAnna Hacker, Sara Schmanske, Cur�s Roberts, Oto Olsen,

3. Approval of Previous Minutes: Johnny Vick moved to approve minutes from Sept 9. Oto
Olson supported his mo�on. Discussion: It was men�oned that Sara Schmanske was not on the
atendance register. Pls add to Atendance. Passed unanimously.
4. Chair Notes/Announcements/Correspondence: Kathy A talked about the Milage on the
upcoming ballot. Brochures are available. Early vo�ng 10/26 to 11/3 at the Kool Family Center
8 -4p,
5. Addi�ons or Dele�ons to the Agenda: None
6. Police Report: Officer Rose provided a police report which was discussed with those
present. It is ge�ng colder and we were advised not to leave vehicles running when we stop at
the store.
7. Guest Speaker: Chief Bagley introduced himself and his tenure. Discussed the License Plate
readers and how they work and are used. Also advised that Gang Violence is down while
Domes�c Violence is up. He answered various ques�ons.
8. Commitee Reports: (Comments limited to 3 min per topic)
a. School: Catherine L. discussed the student count days coming up in Oct and Feb. Advised
that the Band follies will be making a comeback.
b. Code Report: Eric Morris provided a code report which was discussed with
those present. He is currently s�ll working on inspec�ons.
c. Food Pantry: none d. Library: none.
e. Nomina�ng commitee: Heather Straton advised she had made phone calls and le� many
messages. Kathy Antaya for Chair, Catherine LaValley for Vice Chair and herself (for Secretary)
had put their names into the hat for elec�ons. Elec�ons will be held on Nov 11, with addi�onal
nomina�ons taken from the floor.

10. Beau�ful Batle Creek Award/Nomina�ons: 128 Dunning Ave was nominated by Sara
S. Joanne second, and all approved.

a. Public Comments: Mary Bourgeois (g) men�oned the upcoming NAACP Dinner coming up
10/25; John Kenefick talked about the fire sta�ons and Capital improvement fund.
