Call to Order – 3:32 pm
Attendance – Sarah Kelly, Josh Etheridge, Patty Hoch-Melluish, Andy Helmboldt, Bessie Stears,
Robert Gilbert, Jill Anderson, Commissioner Kristin Blood, Kathy Antaya and Mayor Mark Behnke
via phone.
Guests – Carl Fedders
Approval of Minutes – Commissioner Kristin Blood made a motion to approve the June 2021
minutes, seconded by Kathy Antaya. All approved.
Reports – none
Environmental Programs update- Bessie Stears updated the Committee about ongoing events.
Patty Hoch-Melluish discussed recycling and waste numbers. Sarah Kelly spoke of upcoming
Calhoun County events.
Planning updates- none
City Commission updates- Commissioner Kristin Blood reported on several issues.

Field Trips, Trainings, Etc. – none

- November recycling month proclamation and education – none

The purpose of this Committee is to increase the City's efforts to incorporate environmentally responsible, cost
effective policy in the planning, administration and economic development of its built infrastructure and natural
resources. The Committee may make recommendations to the City Commission for their consideration and will
be available as a resource on sustainability policy.
The committee is grateful for the land upon which we live, and recognizes the Potawatomi Nation as the original
inhabitants. The committee seeks to partner when possible with the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the
Potawatomi (NHBP) Tribe in stewardship of the land and its natural resources.
