ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 19, 2020 A virtual meeting of the City of Zoning Board of Adjustment was conducted by electronic means on Monday, October 19, 2020 as permitted during this State of Emergency due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Chairman Urban called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. Secretary Lombari called the roll. Present at the meeting were Chairman Urban, Commissioners Lombari, DiLullo, DeRos and Gamal. Commissioner Adams, Pineiro, Calcaterra and Iapicca were absent. Also present were Richard Campisano, Esq., Board Counsel, and Alicia Losonczy, Zoning Board of Adjustment Secretary. After the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, Chairman Urban declared a quorum and advised that the Board had complied with the Open Public Meetings Act/Sunshine Law. Adoption of Minutes: Chairman Urban called for the adoption of the minutes from the September 21, 2020 regular meeting. Commissioner DeRos made the motion to adopt the minutes and Commissioner DiLullo seconded the motion. A unanimous vote of eligible members followed. Zoning Board of Adjustment October 19, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 Communications: • Correspondence from Peter Cecinini, Esq. attorney for applicant Z-19-032 – RAMEZ ZAKI - 73 West 32nd Street in City Block 144, Lot 18 requesting an adjournment until the December 21, 2020 meeting o Commissioner DiLullo made a motion to adjourn the matter to the November 16, 2020 regular meeting. Commissioner DeRos seconded the motion and a unanimous vote followed. • Correspondence from neighbors in the vicinity of the Z-19-032 – 73 West 32nd Street applications typed a comment. Board Counsel, Richard Campisano, announced that the matter will be adjourned until December 21, 2020 and the neighbors can participate in that meeting. Mr. Campisano also stated that Board Secretary, Alicia Losonczy, will e-mail those neighbors and advise of the adjournment of the meeting until December 21, 2020. Adoption of Resolutions: • Z-20-011 40 COTTAGE STREET, LLC – Site: 80 - 84 East 25th Street in City Block 53, Lot 43 o Commissioner DiLullo made a motion to adopt the resolution Commissioner DeRos seconded the motion. A unanimous vote of eligible members followed. A motion was made to close the meeting at 6:17 p.m. Susan Bischoff, Certified Shorthand Reporter, took a transcript of the meeting. /akl
