BOROUGH OF BEACH HAVEN LAND USE BOARD MEETING 300 Engleside Avenue Beach Haven NJ 08008 Monday, May 6, 2019 - 7:00 PM (THE CHAIRMAN HAS THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE ORDER OF THE MEETING) FLAG SALUTE SUNSHINE LAW Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by posting on the bulletin board in the entrance hall of the Beach Haven Municipal Building and mailing the same to the Beach Haven Times, the Asbury Park Press and the Press of Atlantic City. This meeting is a judicial proceeding. Any questions or comments must be limited to issues that are relevant to what the board may legally consider in reaching a decision for each individual application. Both of these units are in a new building there was no previous use.  Playa Bowls is putting a 6’ x 8’ platform behind their building to accommodate a walk-in freezer  Patchington, women’s clothing store is moving into 806 N Bay Avenue, previously occupied by Tula Boutique  New Cell Centers, Dr. Michael O’Hara has been approved to share space at Bleu Salon and Spa at 209 N Bay Avenue to include Botox and Filler injections for cosmetic purposes.  Escape LBI is moving into 905 N Bay Avenue, previously Sunglass Menagerie (next to Island Gypsy)  Korh Brothers Inc. is moving into 806 N Bay Avenue, as ice cream parlor. Previously occupied by December 25th/Bankston’s. They are also raising the existing deck out front and putting in another door to improve the flow of foot traffic through the store.  Cape May House of Jerky which will be selling jerky, rubs and hot sauces is moving into Schooner’s Wharf Store #10, previously occupied by Jewels By the Bay __________________________________________________________________________________________ ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: Bob Jacobson has requested to withdraw his APPLICATION #2019-06 – 1616 S. Beach Avenue- Block: 61 Lot: 12- (Variance to build a 100SF shed around his existing pool equipment on his property) originally applied to be heard at the March 4, 2019 meeting and carried to April 1st meeting. MEMO TO VACATE Class IV Seat, per Letter of Resignation from James Kilcommons dated April 1, 2019. MEMO of additional seat vacancy due to the sudden passing of Class IV Member Robert Schlabach. RESOLUTIONS: Resolution of Memorialization Docket #2019-07 – 550 Leeward Avenue- Block: 1 Lot: 30.02 – TBD Partners LLC & Renewal Partners LLC. Request DENIED for variance relief for the required lot width Resolution of Memorialization Docket #2019-08 – Pedalcycle Request APPROVED for a bike tour business that travels to different establishments throughout town Resolution of Memorialization Docket #2019-09- 600 N Bay Avenue- Block: 168.02 Lot:5 – Koseff LLC. (Ben & Jerry’s) Request APPROVED for a variance to install a second sign on the North side of the roof on the front of the building PUBLIC HEARING: APPLICATION #2019-10- 325 Glendola Avenue- Block: 76 Lot: 15 – Costa & Kathleen Koufacos Requesting a variance to construct a 6’ x 20’ open porch on the front of the existing single-family home REHABILITATION DESIGNATION STUDY for 400 N Bay Avenue ~ Block: 166.02 Lot: 3~ with Frank Little and Emily Givens ESQ.
