Animal Shelter Advisory Board Minutes June 6, 2018 STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF BEDFORD The Animal Shelter Advisory Board of the City of Bedford, Texas met in a regular session at 2:00 p.m. at 1 City Hall 2000 Forest Ridge Drive, on the 6 h day of June 2018 with the following members present Brian Meadors Deputy Police Chief (Staff Liaison) Mark Bellinghausen Animal Control Supervisor Dr. Susan Read Chairman Karen Killian Board Member Michelle Watson Board Member. CALL TO ORDER/GENERAL COMMENTS Chairperson Dr. Susan Read called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. Chairperson Dr. Susan Read asked to set dates for the next two meetings and asked if 2:00 P.M. was a good start time. Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. and Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. suggested and agreed upon. 1. Consider approval of the following Animal Shelter Advisory Board Minutes: a) Regular meeting: December 13, 2017 Dr. Read advised the first order of business was to review the minutes from the last meeting, no changes were recommended. Dr. Read made the motion to approve the minutes without changes. Michelle Watson seconded the motion and all voted to approve the minutes. 2. Report on shelter statistical data. Dr. Read advised the review of the stats were the next order of business. Karen Killian advised she really liked the format of the Performance Measure sheet as well as the information presented on it. Dr Susan Read advised the live release rate looks very good and believes the adoption return rate is notable, with only 6 out of 89 adoptions in the first quarter being returned and only 5 out of 47 adoptions being returned in the second quarter. Karen Killian Advised Animal Control did an amazing job at the last Pet Fair and Thanked Councilman Roger Fisher for his part in getting Barbara Richardson Way dedicated at the Pet Fair as well. Dr. Susan Read made the motion to adjourn the meeting and Michelle Watson seconded the motion. <h.{!!4 D~~~=:.:@
