Animal Shelter Advisory Board Minutes September 12, 2018 STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF BEDFORD The Animal Shelter Advisory Board of the City of Bedford, Texas met in a regular session at 2. 00 p m. at 12th City Hall 2000 Forest Ridge Drive, on the day of September 2018 with the following members present Brian Meaders Deputy Police Chief( Staff Liaison) Mark Bellinghausen Animal Control Supervisor Dr Susan Read Chairman Karen Killian Board Member Board member Michelle Watson was absent. CALL TO ORDER/ GENERAL COMMENTS Chairperson Dr Susan Read called the meeting to order at 2:00 p m 1. Consider approval of the following Animal Shelter Advisory Board Minutes: a) Regular meeting: September 12, 2017 Dr Read advised the first order of business was to review and approve the minutes from the last meeting, no changes were recommended. Dr Read made the motion to approve the minutes as written. Karen Killian seconded the motion. 2. Report on shelter statistical data. Dr Read advised the review of the stats were the next order of business. Karen Killian stated a 93% live release rate where anything over 90% is considered no kill, congratulations Brian, Stephen and Mark Dr Susan Read advised she was amazed at the number of calls officers are making and commend the officers on their hard work. Dr Read asked if there was any new business for the facility or help we can give as the board. Karen congratulated Dr Read for being voted the Best Clinic in Tarrant County, recognizing her 30 years of service and advising she is highly respected in the community Dr Susan Read made the motion to adjourn the meeting.
