The Animal Shelter Advisory Board of the City of Bedford, Texas met in a regular session at 2: 00 p. m. at
City Hall 2000 Forest Ridge Drive, on the 24th day of April 2019 with the following members present
Brian Meaders Deputy Police Chief( Staff Liaison)
Mark Bellinghausen Animal Control Supervisor
Dr. Susan Read Chairman
Karen Killian Board Member
Michelle Watson Board Member Absent
CALL TO ORDER/ GENERAL COMMENTS
Chairperson Dr. Susan Read called the meeting to order at 2: 02 p m.
1. Consider approval of the following Animal Shelter Advisory Board Minutes:
a) Regular meeting: April 24, 2019
Dr. Read advised the first order of business was to review the minutes from the last meeting, no changes
were recommended. Dr. Susan Read made the motion to approve the minutes as written. Karen Killian
seconded the motion.
2. Report on shelter statistical data.
Dr Read advised the review of the stats were the next order of business. Dr. Read advised the shelter
looked very busy; the adoptions look good, the return to owner look good Karen Killian advised the stats
at 93% look really impressive. Karen advised she had conversation with Councilman Roger Fisher
regarding Mr. Fisher being thrilled with the wonderful number of adoptions at Clear the Shelter.
Dr. Susan Read made the motion to adjourn the meeting and Karen Killian seconded the motion.
