Cultural Commission April 13, 2015 STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF TARRANT § CITY OF BEDFORD § The Cultural Commission of the City of Bedford, Texas, met in regular session at 6:35 p.m. at Bedford Public Library, Bonnie Finn Room, 2424 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford, TX 76021 on the 13th day of April 2015 with the following members present: Tom Jacobsen, Chair JoLynne Jensen Josh Santillan Debbi Savage Barbara Speares Constituting a quorum Others present included: Jeff Florey, Staff Liaison Ray Champney Mirenda McQuagge-Walden CALL TO ORDER Chairman Tom Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Consider approval of the following Cultural Commission minutes: a) March 9, 2015 regular meeting Motion made by Josh Santillan and seconded by Ms. Jensen to approve the minutes. The motion was unanimously approved NEW BUSINESS 2. Discussion and consider approval of Cultural Commission Strategic Plan. The draft of the strategic plan was reviewed and suggestions made for slight changes. 3. Discussion and planning for City Council Presentation It was suggested that those items that were presented at the last meeting be reviewed and it be clarified on what the Council is being asked to do to support the City’s cultural development and recommendations made by the Commission. 4. Discussion and planning for ArtsTalk Presentation.  Cultural Commission April 13, 2015 Tom Jacobsen mentioned he would be out of town and travelling home that evening. He recognized JoLynne Jensen, Debbie Savage and Josh Santillan for their contributions and suggested they be on stage with him at the ArtsTalk Presentation. 5. Report from ArtsFest, 501(c) (3), Storefront Gallery and Arts Incubator Subcommittees with follow-up discussion. No reports.
