Approval of Minutes: Consideration of and possible action regarding the approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the YAB held on Monday, March 3, 2025 - Submitted by Bella Kalra, Secretary. YAB 3-03-25 Minutes C. Public Comment. Note: Public Comments are limited to up to five (5) minutes per person. D. Report from Council Liaisons - Winfred C. Frazier, Mayor Pro Tem, and Jackie Georgiou, Council Member. E. Report from Staff Liaison - Sharon Citino, City Manager. F. Board Business. 1. Continued discussion, update, and possible action on the Pickleball Tournament scheduled on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. - Secretary Bella Kalra, Outreach/Social Media Chair Evelyn Yip, Athletics Chair Luke Loving, and Board Member Ben Shoss. 2. Continued discussion and possible action on the YAB's participation in the Culture and Arts Board Arts & Crafts Festival scheduled on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Paseo Park - Board Members. 3. Continued discussion and possible action on the YAB's participation and support for the Environmental Sustainability Board's Food Waste Program on Sunday, April 6, April 13, and April 20, 2025, from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Condit Elementary Parking Lot (South Rice Avenue side) - Secretary Bella Kalra. 4. Continued discussion and possible action on a Youth Advisory Summit for the City's Strategic Plan - Board Members. 5. Continued discussion regarding the YAB's possible participation in the Bellaire High School's April Music as Medicine Concert - Board Members Kashika Adhikari and Ethan He. 6. Continued discussion and possible action regarding a YAB partnership with the PATRONS for Bellaire Parks on the Party at the Pavilion Events and a teen Dive-In Movie - Board Members. 7. Continued discussion and possible action on selling merchandise - Board Members. G. New Business: Any YAB Member who wishes to bring New Business to the attention of the YAB shall do so now. Start planning this year, put it on the strategic plan, then host it in the Fall or Spring 2. Youth Advisory Summit a. Two day event, already happened in February b. Learn about other YABS across the state c. Learn how a city works d. $75 a person, $130 a night for lodging (per room), about $150 a person G. Music as Medicine 1. Concert around April 2. Kashi and Ethan will contact BHS club to figure out date and more information H. Patrons of the Bellaire Park 1. Want to partner with YAB a. Maybe YAB helps choose bands b.
