APPROVED PUBLIC HEALTH and HOUSING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday January 2nd, 2013 Members: Alderman Ken Kinsella – Chairman Alderman Gabby Rujawitz Alderman Jim Musgrove Alderman Dave Martinson Alderman Tim Carpenter Tricia Tialdo Staff: Robert Sabo (Excused) Roger Barfield Alderman Kinsella called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. On roll call of members all were present.. Alderman Rujawitz made a motion to approve the minutes from the December, 2012 meeting, second by Alderman Martinson. All members present voted aye. Motion carried. Guests: Alderman Dean Hardt Committee Member Reports: None Old Business: None New Business: Housing Assistant Director Roger Barfield presented the bid packet for cost of demolition of the thirteen properties to the committee members. The six excavating companies turned the following bids in: Rite Way Excavating $167,355.00 Hanks Excavating $129,500.00 Stutz Excavating $109,020.00 Hayes Contracting $142,750.00 Ahrens Contracting $168,900.00 Premier Demolition $126,259.00 Alderman Martinson made a motion to accept the low bid of $109,020.00 from Stutz Excavating, second by Alderman Rujawitz. All members presented voted aye. Motion passed. With no further business a motion was made by Alderman Musgrove and second by Alderman Martinson to adjourn at 6:05P.M. .
