APPROVED PUBLIC HEALTH and HOUSING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 7th, 2012 Members: Alderman Ken Kinsella – Chairman Alderman Gabby Rujawitz Alderman Jim Musgrove Alderman Dave Martinson Alderman Tim Carpenter (Excused) Roger Barfield Chairman Ken Kinsella called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Alderman Musgrove made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 4th, 2012 meeting, seconded by Alderman Martinson. All members present voted aye. Guests Alderman Hardt – Ward 4 Robert Sabo Committee Member Reports: None . Old Business: None New Business: Discussion of bids received for demolition of 6 structures. Roger Barfield advised 4 demolitions are by court order and 2 properties 307 Walnut and 900 S 20th are city owned. The property at 900 S 20th is part of the 17th street expansion. No other business. Motion was made by Alderman Martinson and seconded by Alderman Rujawitz to adjourn the meeting at 6:05pm. All members present voted aye. Approximately 6:08 p.m. on 03-07-12 Chairman Kinsella reconvened the Health and Housing committee for the purpose of awarding the bid for demolition of the 6 structures which were previously discussed Chairman Kinsella called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. Motion was made by Alderman Musgrove and seconded by Alderman Rujawitz to approve the bid award to Gates construction for $139,377.00. All members present voted aye. Motion was made by Alderman Rujawitz and seconded by Alderman Musgrove to adjourn the meeting at 6:12 p.m.. All members present voted aye.
