The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Dan Nollman. Roll called, quorum declared.
Chairman Nollman noted that all Zoning Board cases heard at this meeting will be considered at the November 3, 2014 City
Council meeting.
Chairman Nollman asked for a motion to approve the minutes of September 25, 2014. Toni Togias made a motion to
APPROVE the minutes and seconded by Don Rockwell with all present members voting aye. Motion carried.

Amend Section 60-2-2 to define the term "Hotel or Motel"
Ms. Davis explained the amendment to the Zoning Code. With no discussion, Chairman Nollman asked for a motion.
Steve Zimmerman made a motion to APPROVE the request and seconded by Patrick Sullivan with all present
members voting aye. Motion carried.
62-Oct14 – Chatham & Baricevic – Requesting a Sign Installation Permit in Area of Special Control in order to place one non
illuminated, flush mounted sign totaling 15 sq. ft. at 107 W. Main St. located in a C-2 Heavy Commercial Zoning District.
(Applicable portion of sing code: 53-4-6)
CJ Baricevic, 419 S. High St., explained the request stating that this is a replacement sign. With no questions or concerns from
the Board and no one in the audience to speak in favor or against the case, Chairman Nollman asked for a motion.
Steve Zimmerman made a motion to APPROVE the request and seconded by Toni Togias with all present members
voting aye. Motion carried.
Steve Zimmerman made a motion to ADJOURN, which was seconded by Toni Togias. All members present voted aye.
Chairman Nollman adjourned the meeting at 7:06 pm.

Approval of the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting minutes from September 25, 2014 and explanation of emergency
procedures.
2-1-8 Public Participation-(A)Members of the public may address public officials at meetings of the City Council, its Committees and other
subsidiary bodies in accordance with Section 2.06(g) of the IL Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2.06(g). (B) Public comments are limited to three (3)
minutes per speaker. (C) The subject of public comments shall be reasonably related to matter(s) identified on the meeting agenda and/or other
City business. (D) Repetitive public comments should be avoided, to the extent practical, through adoption of prior public comment (eg. Agreeing
with a prior speaker.) (E) The following conduct is prohibited during public participation: acting or appearing in a lewd or disgraceful manner;
using disparaging, obscene or insulting language; personal attacks impugning character and/or integrity; intimidation; disorderly conduct as
defined in Section 30-1-2 of this Revised Code of Ordinances; (F) Any speaker who engages in such prohibited conduct during public participation
shall be called to order by the chair or ruling by the chair if a point of order is made by a sitting member of that body.
