Council Standing Committee Meetings:

1. Approval of City Council Committee and/or Special Meeting Minutes
Dan Hammill/Roxanne Murphy moved approval of the April 13th minutes as
submitted.
MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
2. Old/New Business
Mayor Kelli Linville presented a draft letter to Senator Maria Cantwell in support of the
Senator's proposed legislation on safety standards for crude-by-rail transport. City
Council Members will read the letter this afternoon and bring it forward for approval at
tonight's meeting to be signed by Mayor Linville and Council President Pro Tem Pinky
Vargas.
Council Member Roxanne Murphy attended a "Stop the TPP and Fast Track" event this
weekend with a mix of environmentalists and union leaders. Those present
acknowledged the City Council for the passage of its resolution opposing the fast track.
Council Member Murphy thanked the Council.

Planning Director Rick Sepler talked about the Joint Planning Commission/Planning
Committee Meeting this Thursday at 7:00 PM. It will be an update on the
Comprehensive Plan Process to-date and will identify the issues that have been raised
by public process related to population and the UGA boundaries. In the future, the
Legislative Assistant will include all such meetings in the Announcements section of the
agenda.

ask questions and, when appropriate, vote on a recommended action for consideration

Committee Meeting at the Regular Meeting in the evening prior to deliberation and
formal vote in the order shown below:
