April Barker / Gene Knutson moved to recommend approval of the resolution.
MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
6. Approval of City Council Committee and/or Special Meeting Minutes
Gene Knutson / Michael Lilliquist moved approval of the March 7th minutes as
submitted.
MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
7. Old/New Business
The Mayor, Peter Ruffatto, and Amy Kraham presented information on local
government participation in the legal defense of the Clean Power Plan. April 1st is the
deadline. Before the City signs on, Legal will work with the Mayor.
Gene Knutson / April Barker moved to recommend approval of amendment to the
Public Facilities District Interlocal Agreement adding the following text to item (b):
"The PFD hereby agrees to apply such amount to implement the Refunding Plan
described in Section 1 of Resolution No. ___ of the PFD, adopted on March ____,
2016." Council Member Murphy read it into the minutes.
April Barker reported that the correct terminology for particular members of our
community is "deaf and hard of hearing." She apologized for using the phrase "hearing
impaired."
MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
