City Council committee meetings

Call to order and roll call
Council President Stone called the meeting to order at 1:35p.m.

24822 1. Discussion regarding the surplus declaration process for 1504 I Street and 1506 I
Street
Summary:
Tara Sundin, Community and Economic Development Manager, presented the surplus
declaration process for 1504 I Street and 1506 I Street. In 1990, the City conveyed the
properties to the Opportunity Council, who no longer intends to operate the property as a
transitional housing facility. A public hearing will be held at tonight's regular meeting to
allow for public input. Council Members discussed the surplus declaration and asked
questions.
24823 2. Consideration of Lodging Tax Advisory Committee grant recommendations for the
Bellingham Fan Zone and Downtown Activations and Beautification Program
Summary:
Tara Sundin, Community and Economic Development Manager, presented grants for
Council's consideration as recommended by the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)

for the Bellingham Fan Zone and Downtown Activations and Beautification Program.
Council Members discussed the LTAC recommendations and asked questions.
Action:
Edwin H. "Skip" Williams moved to recommend approval of the Lodging Tax Advisory
Committee (LTAC) grant recommendations for the Bellingham Fan Zone and Downtown
Activations and Beautification Program.
MOTION CARRIED 3-0.

All meetings are held in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 210 Lottie Street,
Bellingham unless otherwise noted.
Accessibility:
Elevator access to the second floor is available at City Hall’s west entrance. Hearing assistance is
available, and a receiver may be checked out through the Council office prior to the evening session.
