Call to Order Council Standing Committee Meetings: Planning 20382 1. A Work Session on a Draft Ordinance to Establish a Rental Registration Program Roxanne Murphy moved to recommend approval that Option One be brought forward to the Council this evening (the ordinance as revised by Peter Ruffatto, removing the audit inspections with rental registration only). MOTION CARRIED 2-1. Opposed: Jack Weiss Jack Weiss moved to adopt Option 5. MOTION FAILED 1-2. Opposed: Gene Knutson and Roxanne Murphy Gene Knutson moved to bring forward the ordinance that is in the packet. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. Jack Weiss moved to recommend to the Council that the draft rental safety ordinance be amended to include the following: 1. Amend the title to Residential Rental Safety Program. 2. 6.15.030.B Add “electrical systems” to the list. 3. 6.15.040.E Add these additional registration application requirements per unit:  Number of bedrooms  Number of bathrooms 1   Neighborhood identification  Living person owner(s) address, phone and email contact information  Property management/resident manager address, phone and email contact information  Space heating fuel source  Does tenant pay for gas, electricity, water, and/or garbage removal?  Is unit exempt from the fee and if so, what reason? 4. 6.15.040.H Amend to state that the registry list will be publicly available and include PDF’s of Declarations of Compliance. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. These options will be reported out at tonight's meeting. Then the Committee of the Whole will hear them on June 23rd.
