Roll Call Present: Committee Chair Kristina Michele Martens, At Large Committee Member Hannah Stone, First Ward Committee Member Lisa Anderson, Excused: Committee Member Daniel Hammill, Third Ward Council Member Anderson joined the Committee due to Council Member Hammill's excused absence. Council Standing Committee Meetings: Open to the public to attend. Note: there is generally no public comment period for Committee sessions. Standing Committee Members receive reports and information, ask questions and, when appropriate, vote on a recommended action for consideration by the full Council at the Regular Meeting. The notice of Committee Meetings identified below also serves as notice of Special Meetings of the City Council at the times identified as Council Members who are not members of the committee routinely attend and participate in the Committee Meetings. Committee Chairs give a report of the Committee Meeting at the Regular Meeting in the evening prior to deliberation and formal vote. 23810 1. Report from Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) on the Agency's Zero p. 3 Emissions Fleet Transition Study Tim Wilder, Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) Planning Director, and Les Reardanz, WTA General Manager, provided an update to Council on the agency's zero emissions fleet transition study. WTA anticipates becoming 100% zero emissions by 2040. By 2025, they will determine which vehicle technology to move forward with. More information is available at engage.ridewta.com.
