No minutes were considered for approval.
Public Comment Period
Opportunity for citizens to speak informally to the Planning Commissioners on any subject not listed on the agenda. Speakers
are allowed a MAXIMUM of three (3) minutes to address the Commission. Speakers will not be required to disclose their
address.
No testimony provided.
PRESENTATION
Staff provided an overview of the Planning Commission’s role and responsibilities, as well as how to hold
a public meeting, when reviewing development permit applications. He used the upcoming CityView
project as an example and explained the process that will be followed.
Additionally, staff led the members through a training that provided tips on how to be an effective board
member, as well as best practices on how to participate in future online meetings.

Shoreline Committee Report
Steve Crooks reported on the February 2, 2020 meeting and recommendations made by the committee.
Nominations / Appointments for 2020 Chair, Vice-Chair and Shoreline Committee
Mike Estes was nominated to Chair. He accepted. VOTE: 6-0
Steve Crooks and Ali Taysi were nominated to Vice-Chair. Ali accepted. VOTE: 6-0

WORK SESSION
Commission Member Training: The members will be receiving training and guidance on how
to be effective board members, as well as best practices on how to participate in future online
meetings.
Development Permit Guidance: An overview of the Planning Commission’s role and
responsibilities in the review of certain development permits like the upcoming Cityview
project will be provided.
