Public Comment Agenda Items . Draft Lake Whatcom 5-Year Work Plan - Status Update p. 2 Resolution 2024-01 Vote: CARRIED 6-3. (Opposed: Eggerth, McDade, Weiss) WRAB members received an update on the Draft Lake Whatcom Management Program 5 Year Work Plan from Jason Porter, Surface and Stormwater Utility Manager. Discussion included summary of public comments received, staff responses, and edits. Staff will share final revised Work Plan at upcoming Lake Whatcom Joint Policy Group Meeting in anticipation of Councils and Commission adopting work plan in early 2025. Resolution 2024-01: WRAB reviewed and supports City Council approval of the Lake Whatcom Management Program 5 Year Work Plan 2025-2029. . Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Permit Fees Discussion p. 3 Resolution 2024-02 Vote: CARRIED 9-0. WRAB members received an update on the Aquatic Invasive Species Program from Michael Parelskin, Natural Resources Field Manager. Discussion included implementing increased permit fees using a cost of service and risk reduction model. Resolution 2024-02: WRAB reviewed and supports increasing AIS permit fees.
