The application includes one wall sign compliant with the ordinance. Illumination on the letters only. No special permits required. Melissa Gale presents to the board. This is a small family-owned business with preferences for quiet urban neighborhoods. They are occupying the Game Stop space. Cook, are the letters lit or is the sign backlit. Gale confirms the letters are lit and in red. Gale confirms the hours are 11:00 am – 10:00 pm.The sign will be on a timer to go out at night. Members collectively agree the sign is acceptable as is. There being no further comments or questions regarding the matter: Motion: Cook moves to approve the sign as presented. Mason seconds. Motion carries 4-0. 2. New/Other Business a. Draft meeting minutes i. July 7, 2022 Motion: Flannery moves to accept the minutes as amended. Ouellette seconds. Motion carries 4- 0. ii. August 4, 2022 Motion: Flannery moves to accept the minutes as amended. Ouellette seconds. Motion carries 4- 0. iii. October 6, 2022 Motion: Flannery moves to accept the minutes as amended. Ouellette seconds. Motion carries 4- 0. b. Election of officers Deferred to the next meeting. c. 2023 meeting schedule Page 1 of 2  Design Review Board December 01, 2022 Meeting Minutes Members prefer to move the meeting time to 6:30 from 7:00 pm. Change effective in the new calendar year beginning at the January 2023 meeting. Members decide to keep the first Thursday of the month. d. Other: Status of Administrative Reviews from prior motions Flannery asks Lukitsch for updates on the following administrative reviews. Lukitsch will review and provide updates at the next meeting. i. Motion: July7, 2022: Item: Depot Square Phase II, LLC: various signs Motion: Cook moves to approve the permanent signage as presented; Poulin will submit a revision on the window font graphics for administrative review; the banners will have a 1-year review with the exception of the Casa banner which will be 6 months; the start date will be determined by the special permit to be submitted at a later date; and the temporary signs are recommended to the ZBA for approval. Flannery seconds. The motion carries 6-0. ii. Motion: September 1, 2022: Item: Brito Corp D/B/A Auto-Dyne Motion: Cook moves to approve the sign as presented with the condition(s): the wording will change to “Service and Used Car Sales”; the phone number will change to the website; the applicant will submit a final copy to Healey for administrative approval; the board is not approving the wall sign. Mason seconds. The motion carries 6-0. iii. Motion: October 6, 2022: Item: Sagittarius Rising, Inc., Zodiac Tea Room Motion: Ouellette moves to recommend the owner review the mixed font use for the letters “ODIAC” in the logo which can be sent for administrative review and approval. Flannery seconds. Motion carries 3-1. Mason dissents. 3. Adjournment Motion: Cook moves to adjourn. Flannery seconds. The motion carries 4-0.
