CITY OF BEVERLY PUBLIC MEETING MINUTES BOARD: Parking and Traffic Commission SUBCOMMITTEE: DATE: March 3, 2020 BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Aaron Clausen (Vice Chair), George Binns, Michael Collins, Jonathan Salt, John Lozada BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Richard Benevento (Chairman), Sgt Mike Henebury, Leslie Gould, Capt. Ryan Laracy OTHERS PRESENT: None RECORDER: Sharlyne Woodbury Clausen chairs and opens the meeting at 8:34 am. 2. Approval of Minutes Binns: Motion to approve October 1, 2019 minutes as amended. Lozada seconds. The motion carries 5-0. Collins: Motion to approve November 5, 2019 minutes as amended. Lozada seconds. The motion carries 5-0. Collins: Motion to approve January 7, 2020 minutes as amended. Salt seconds. The motion carries 5-0. 3. Discussion: Request from Councilor Estelle Rand A local business owner expressed concern over inappropriate use of parking space(s) on the corner of Goat Hill Lane and 1A. An adjacent local business is using the space(s) for overflow to offset their parking lot capacity. Councilor Rand requested parking signs added to the spots. The Commission deferred action until a parking study review of the area as well as other applicable data collected. 4. New/Other Business Review of the MassDOT traffic study for MassDOT Project No. 608347. The traffic data will be used to reflect on the parking concern raised in Agenda Item #3. 5. Adjournment Binns moves to adjourn meeting at 8:52 a.m. Lozada seconds. The motion carries 5-0. Next meeting April 7, 2020.
