FINANCE COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
January 7, 2026, 7:30 a.m.
Members present: Patty Gapen, Chairperson; Jamie Biegel
Also present: Samantha Daugherty; Kayla Lumaye;
Chairperson Patty Gapen called the meeting to order at 7:30 am
The Committee reviewed all bills, non-lapsing, checking and savings accounts, journal
entries, and time sheets. Bills were paid on checks 26936-27027 for General Checking
and 5412-5432 for Utility Checking. Motion Biegel, second Gapen to recommend the
Board’s approval of the bills, non-lapsing accounts and journal entries for Wastewater
and Water Utility accounts and Village accounts. Motion carried.
The committee discussed options for direct deposit. Discussed fees from bank and
checking to see if some of those could be negotiated. This would be an all-or-none
option for full-time employees, fire department, board members and election workers.
No action taken at this time and will review at future meetings.
Next meeting date is February 9th, 2026, at 7:30 a.m.
