VILLAGE OF BIRON 451 KAHOUN ROAD, WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI 54494 LEGISLATIVE, ORDINANCE, & ZONING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 20th 11:00 A.M. Members Present: Dan Muleski, Chairperson; Mark Honkomp and Tammy Steward, committee members Others Present: Kayla Lumaye, Public Works Director; Samantha Daugherty, Village Clerk 1. Chairperson Dan Muleski called the meeting to order at 10:57 a.m. 2. Discussion and possible action on amendment to ordinance 7.4 Heavy Traffic – The committee reviewed the proposed changes to the ordinance and discussed revisions to subsections 7.4.3 and 7.4.5. Subsection 7.4.3 was updated to establish year-round weight limits of 20,000 pounds (10 tons) per single axle and 34,000 pounds (17 tons) per tandem axle. Subsection 7.4.5 was updated to establish seasonal weight limits of 12,000 pounds (6 tons) per single axle and 20,000 pounds (10 tons) per tandem axle. Motion Honkomp, second Muleski to update subsections 7.4.3 and 7.4.5 with the stated weight limits. Motion carried. The Committee also discussed adding language stating that the Village will implement seasonal weight limits whenever Wood County or the Town of Grand Rapids implements their seasonal weight limits. Motion Muleski, second Honkomp to adopt all amendments to Ordinance 7.4. Motion carried. 3. Discussion on fence variance – Samantha stated that a resident inquired about constructing a fence directly on the lot line rather than two feet from the lot line, as required by the ordinance. Samantha informed the resident that a variance would be required. No variance application has been submitted at this time. 4. Set next meeting date – No meeting was set at this time.
