VILLAGE OF BIRON 451 KAHOUN ROAD, WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI 54494 PUBLIC PROPERTY, SAFETY & RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 30th, 2025 1:30 P.M. Members Present: Mike Guillemot, Chairperson; Jamie Biegel and Dan Muleski, Committee Member Others Present: Kayla Lumaye, Public Works Director; Samantha Daugherty, Village Clerk; John Gethers, President of Tech Pros 1. Chairperson Mike Guillemot called the meeting to order at 1:37 p.m. 2. Discussion and possible action on updated door quote – Kayla stated she was asked by Dan to obtain an updated quote from Quality Door and Hardware. Dan realized that the door quote that was approved at the board meeting was not a fiberglass door. Motion Guillemot, second Biegel to approve the quote from Quality Door and Hardware for a total cost of $6,129.88 to be paid from the municipal center upgrade non-lapsing account. Muleski voted no. Motion carried. 3. Discussion and possible action on key fob security system for municipal center and fire department doors – Kayla presented quotes from Complete Control, Tech Pros and Mobile Lock for a key fob system. John Gethers gave a presentation on Tech Pros key fob system. The committee would like Samantha and Kayla to ask Mobile Lock the following questions about their system. Will it allow the Village to keep a log of who is accessing the building and when? If the system is allows the key fobs to be programmable for set times? Where is the system manufactured? The committee asked that this be discussed at the next committee meeting. 4. Discussion and possible action on new air compressor for municipal garage– Kayla stated the compressor needs to be replaced. Kayla presented a quote from Motors and Controls. Kayla stated that she and the village crew searched similar compressors and they were around the same price. Motion Muleski, second Biegel to approve the quote from Motors and Controls for a total cost of $4,745.38 to be paid from the garage maintenance non-lapsing account. Motion carried. 5. Superintendent’s Report – Nothing to report at this time. 6. Set next meeting date and time – Next meeting will be held on February 17th at 2:00 PM.
