Minutes
The Airport Commission met at City Hall in the City of Black River Falls on August 24, 2024 at
9:00 A.M. Commissioners Desiree Gearing-Lancaster, Garth Rolbiecki, Dale Hoff and Kylee
Wussow were present. Commissioner Ed Chamberlain was excused. Other attendees included
Airport Mgr. Dale Klevard, Larry Lunda and Keith Tridle.
1. Meeting was called to order at 9:01 A.M. by Commissioner Gearing-Lancaster.
2. It was moved by Commissioner Rolbiecki, seconded by Commissioner Hoff to approve
the minutes read by Commissioner Gearing-Lancaster from July 27, 2024. Motion
carried.
3. It was moved by Commissioner Rolbiecki, seconded by Commissioner Hoff to approve
the vouchers as presented. Motion carried.
4. Mgr. Dale Klevgard provided the committee with his report. The Petition for Federal Aid
was approved by the county last week. He will submit to the state. Discussion of
Entitlement Funds and loaning money to Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport,
Janesville. Motioned by Commissioner Wussow to move $123,000 of the 2020 Block
Money, seconded by Commissioner Rolbiecki. Motion carried.
5. Review of Airport Manager Resumes: the commission reviewed the resumes of four
applicants. Mgr. Klevgard’s last day will be September 7, but will stay on as an
independent consultant. Moved by Commissioner Hoff to approve Klevgard to stay on as
an independent consultant, seconded by Robliecki. Motion carried.
6. Interviews: the commission interviewed three applicants, one unable to attend due to
prior commitment.
7. Discussion and Selection of New Airport Manager: discussion of applicants. The
committee authorized Mgr. Dale Klevgard to offer position to one applicant at discussed
rate with mileage for probationary period. Moved by Commissioner Hoff to approve,
seconded by Commissioner Robliecki. Motion carried.
8. Discussion of next Airport Commission Meeting. Next meeting will be September 5,
2024 at 5:30 P.M. at the Black River Falls Airport.
9. It was moved by Commissioner Hoff, seconded by Commissioner Rolbiecki to adjourn.
Motion carried at 10:47 A.M.
