The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Ryan followed by the
Pledge of Allegiance and the Roll Call.

City Engineer Keely stated Project No. 14-01 includes a 1½ inch bituminous
overlay, edge milling, sport curb replacement and appurtenant construction.
She noted the assessment roll has been prepared consistent with the feasibility
report. The amount to be assessed is $152,835.74 and the Pavement
Management Program will contribute $177,530.90. She noted the public
hearing is scheduled for September 18, 2014.
Councilmember Herbst asked if there are issues with the quality of the
contractor’s work. City Engineer Keely replied no issues have been reported.

Mayor Ryan opened the public hearing at 8:00 p.m.
Mayor Ryan closed the public hearing at 8:00 p.m.
City Clerk Sorensen stated Darden Restaurants, Inc. dba Red Lobster has
entered into an Asset and Stock Purchase Agreement to sell its chain of
restaurants to RL Acquisition. She noted RL Acquisition will acquire 100%
of the outstanding equity interests of Red Lobster Holdings, LLC. She stated
the applicant has submitted a license application, license fee, background fee,
certificate of insurance for liquor liability, and all required forms and
documents.

13. OTHER BUSINESS
Councilmember Swanson commented he spoke to the Statewide Election
Group and they agreed to support a change in legislation for election
certification to be done within three days after an election.
Councilmember Clark clarified that current legislation states election
certification is to be done on the third day after an election.

Moved by Councilmember Herbst, seconded by Councilmember Bourke to
adjourn the meeting at 8:02 p.m.
