Email - communications@BlaineMN.gov Friday, January 22, 2021 6:00 PM Cloverleaf Farm Room A CITY COUNCIL RETREAT NOTICE OF WORKSHOP MEETING 1 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sanders at 6:00 p.m. on January 22, 2021. 2 Roll Call Quorum Present. ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Michelle Wolfe; Community Development Director Erik Thorvig; Public Works Director Jon Haukaas; Police Chief/Safety Services Manager Brian Podany; Finance Director Joe Huss; Public Services Manager/Assistant City Manager Bob Therres; Administrative Services Director Cassandra Tabor. Present: 7 - Councilmember Robertson, Councilmember Paul, Councilmember Hovland, Massoglia, Smith, Sanders, and Councilmember Jeppson 3 New Business 3-1 Mayor/Council/Staff Relations and 2021 Goals The Council discussed several topics at the 2021 winter retreat including Mayor/Council/staff relations and 2021 goals. The Council recessed the meeting at 8:50 p.m. then reconvened on January 23 to review 2022 budget and tax levy planning, economic development financial tools and City visioning, then concluded with a review of legislative priorities. City Manager Wolfe stated discussions and direction would be shared with staff for follow up at future workshops.
