As authorized under Minnesota State statutes, the Blaine City Council also serves as the Blaine Economic Development Authority. He stated the property owners and the City have agreed to a fair purchase price of $180,000 and if approved a closing date would be set in March 2015. He noted that TIF funds will be used to purchase the property and that an income-eligible homebuyer will be required for re-sale.
