He stated now that the work is complete on Ball Road the home can be listed for sale on the real estate market. He stated staff is requesting to list the home at $189,900 and conduct the public hearing tonight. Moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner Herbst that Resolution 15-10, “Public Hearing and Consideration of the Sale of EDA Property at 10288 Frazier Street NE (PIN 24-31-23-33-0003),” be approved. Amended motion adopted unanimously. Aye: 7 - Comissioner Bourke, Comissioner Clark, Comissioner Herbst, Comissioner Hovland, President Ryan, Comissioner Swanson, and Comissioner King 4-2 EDA RES 15-11 APPROVING THE BLAINE FIRE SUPPRESSION ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 Economic Development Director Thorvig stated staff is proposing to reestablish the Fire Suppression Assistance Grant Program. He stated the program was established to assist commercial or industrial businesses in the cost of fire suppression installation that is required by Chapter 1306 of the State Building Code. He stated grants are available for up to $25,000. He noted that a 50% match is required from the business and the business pays for all costs. He stated the grant funds would be disbursed upon completion of the project. Moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by President Ryan that Resolution 15-11, “Approving the Blaine Fire Suppression Assistance Grant Program in the amount of $250,000.00,” be approved.
