MEMORANDUM Bloomington Common Council – Hiring Committee Bloomington City Hall, Council Library, 401 N. Morton Street, Bloomington, Indiana Tuesday, July 30, 2024 NOTE: Formal minutes are not produced for committee meetings; however the following summarizes actions taken at the following meeting of the Hiring Committee. Meeting called to order: 4:05pm Chair: Hopi Stosberg Councilmembers present: Isabel Piedmont-Smith, Hopi Stosberg Councilmembers present via Zoom: none Councilmembers absent: Andy Ruff (Unable to connect via Zoom) City staff, officials, and guests present: Clerk Nicole Bolden, Chief Deputy Clerk Sofia McDowell Topics Discussed: The committee met for the purpose of discussing and preparing for the hiring process in order to fill the position of Council Attorney/Administrator in the Council Office. MOTION: Stosberg moved that the committee recommend Ash Kulak as the interim Council Attorney/Administrator starting August 05, 2024 until the position is currently filled with an interim salary of $88,400.
