MEMORANDUM Bloomington Common Council-Interview Committee Team A Bloomington City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street, Bloomington, Indiana Kelly Conference Room, 155 October 22, 2024 NOTE: Formal minutes are not produced for committee meetings; however the following summarizes actions taken at the following meeting of Interview Committee Team A. Meeting called to order: 10:09 a.m. Councilmembers present: Hopi Stosberg, Isak Nti Asare (Arrived at 10:09 am) Councilmembers via Zoom: None Councilmembers absent: Kate Rosenbarger City staff, officials, and guests present: Deputy Clerk Jennifer Crossley Topics Discussed: As duly authorized, I hereby certify that a committee of the Bloomington Common Council to review and recommend applicants for appointments to the Board or Commission specified below met on the date noted to: ✓ review applications and select candidates for interviews or ✓ interview candidates or ✓ to make recommendations for appointment to the Common Council Board or Commission: Animal Control Commission, Commission of Aging, Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association, Commission Status of Black Males, Human Rights Commission, Housing Quality Appeals Board MOTION: Stosberg moved and it was seconded by Asare to appoint Corry Smith to seat C-2 to the Commission on the Status of Black Males. ACTION: The motion received a roll call vote of Ayes: 2, Nays: 0, Abstain: 0. MOTION: Asare moved and it was seconded by Stosberg to appoint Christopher Moore to seat C-1 contingent on Amber Stewart living within Monroe County, to the Commission on the Status of Black Males. *If Amber Stewart lives within Monroe County, the interview committee will interview Amber Stewart and Christopher Moore to fill the vacant seat. ACTION: The motion received a roll call vote of Ayes: 2, Nays: 0, Abstain: 0.
