The meeting will be held in person at the East Annex Building of the City of Blue Island, which is located at 2434 Vermont Street in Blue Island. Hearing – Discussion and recommendation on text amendment applications under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance to add “Manufacturing, Production and Industrial Service, Light” as well as “Motor Vehicle Repair Shop” as special uses in the Uptown-Transit Oriented (UTOD) District. The Applicant has also submitted special use applications to permit “Manufacturing, Production and Industrial Service, Light” as well as “Motor Vehicle Repair Shop” by special use in the Uptown-Transit Oriented (UTOD) District. Hearing – Discussion and recommendation on a variation application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance to allow a sign to be 20 feet in height (only 10 feet height permitted) in the Highway Commercial (C-2) District.
