Public Notice May 20, 2026 SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 550 SECOND READING AND ADOPTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Blue Lake will consider the second reading and adoption of the following ordinance at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Ordinance Title: An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Blue Lake Amending Chapter 13.12 of Title 13 of the Blue Lake Municipal Code Relating to Cross-Connection Control Summary: The proposed ordinance would amend Chapter 13.12 of Title 13 of the Blue Lake Municipal Code relating to cross-connection control. The ordinance would add definitions for “Cross-Connection Control Specialist” and “User Supervisor,” revise the section governing user supervisor and City administrative authority under the City’s cross-connection control program, amend fee-related provisions to remove fixed dollar amounts from the Municipal Code, and add a provision stating that rates and fees associated with the City’s cross-connection control program shall be established and amended by resolution of the City Council. A certified copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance is posted in the office of the City Clerk and is available for public review during normal business hours. Ordinance Title: An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Blue Lake Amending Chapter 15.04 of Title 15 of the Blue Lake Municipal Code Relating to Building Standards Fees Summary: The proposed ordinance would amend Chapter 15.04 of Title 15 of the Blue Lake Municipal Code relating to building standards fees. The ordinance would amend Section 15.04.030 to provide that fees for permits, inspections, plan review, and other services required under the City’s building standards chapter shall be established by resolution of the City Council rather than set forth in the Municipal Code.
