CITY OF BLUE SPRINGS, MISSOURI MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL AND BLUE SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING JANUARY 8, 2024 An informational meeting with the City Council of the City of Blue Springs, Missouri and the Blue Springs R-IV School District, was held on Monday, January 8, 2024, 4:45 p.m. at the Community Room, Bartow Administrative Center, 1801 NW Vesper St. Blue Springs, Mo 64015, with Mayor Carson Ross presiding . COUNCILMEMBERS IN Jerry Kaylor Galen Ericson ATTENDANCE Chris Lievsay Kent Edmondson Ron Fowler Susan Culpepper Mayor Ross was absent due to weather. Also present were City Administrator Christine Cates, Sr. Director of City Development Mike Mallon, Assistant Community Development Director Cara Elbert, and Assistant to the City Administrator Sheryl Morgan. CALL MEETING TO The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. ORDER PRESENTATION AND Blue Springs School District Superintendent Dr. Bob Jerome shared a DISCUSSION presentation regarding the State of the School District. This information was previously presented to the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce Members. Sr. Director of City Development Mike Mallon shared a prese'ntation regarding the progress of the Downtown Master Plan . Copies of the presentations are attached to these Minutes and incorporated herein. ADJOURNMENT At 5:43 p.m., with no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned .
