Vicinity Map / General Location Map BACKGROUND INFORMATION/SUMMARY: The Downtown Development Code (DDC) was amended last year to allow staff to approve fence permits in the “T3” zoning district. However, this was not extended to the “T4” zoning district. Therefore, the Downtown Review Board is being asked to review a fence permit at 1400 SW Walnut Street. The owner is requesting to install a 6-ft. wood privacy fence along the east property in both the rear and side yards. The fence will transition to a 4-ft. wood picket fence from the front corner of the house to the front property line. The applicant is responsible for determining where the front property line is located to ensure that the fence is not located in the street right-of-way. PREVIOUS ACTIONS/APPROVALS:  The Planning Commission recommended approval of a Rezoning from “SF-7” (Single- Family) to “T-4” (General Urban) on March 26, 2007; and City Council approved the Rezoning on April 2, 2007.
