Staff: Jayla Coleman A motion was made by George Deibert and seconded by Megan Johnson to accept and approve the minutes from the October meeting. Dennis reviewed the sports lighting estimation and the three-potential tennis court designs for Wilbur Young Park to the committee. He explained that the property that Young Park sits on is shared with the Blue Springs School District. Therefore, the school district was taken into consideration when creating the renderings for the possible new design. The new design will include an additional entrance into the park, extended trails, enlarged playgrounds, new lights for the softball fields, an improved restroom building, reconfiguration of the tennis courts and new sand volleyball courts. The sports lighting and new restroom facility quotes are coming in much higher than expected. Due to the price increases, project timelines may need to be adjusted. Dennis asked the committee about hiring an architect for designing the restrooms for all parks. Moving forward witht his would allow for consistency with design throughout all parks. Committee members were in agreement to get pricing for an architect. Dennis gave an update on the 2018-19 tax projects. Due to cold weather Old Mill Park construction has slowed.
