at the Fieldhouse. The Chairman called the meeting to order.

Kamera Meaney- Absent

passed unanimously.
Financial Report. The financial report was available for review. There were no questions.
Veterans Way Memorial Flyer.
--Cydney provided an updated draft of the Flyer. Discussion was that it needs to specify how to write the check.
Suggestion was “Check should be written to “THCF—Veterans Memorial”. This same information should be
placed on the placard.
--Cydney will edit and provide a final draft at the July meeting. Eleanor reported that she had discussed this flyer
and plans for donations with Truman Heartland Community Foundation.
“Swoop” Art Enhanced Chimney Swift Tower
--The Tower will be placed along ADP near where it intersects with AA Highway. It will be on the east side of
ADP in Wilbur Young Park.
--The Dedication will be Thursday, July 20 at Vesper Hall at 5:30. This will allow for parking and more
comfortable meeting in an air-conditioned room.
--The invitation mailer will be similar to the one used by “Cultivate” and will feature a photo or drawing of the
Tower. Print Graphics will print the mailer, add the names and addresses and postage. If members have anyone
they want to invite, send names and addresses to Justin by June 25.
--Eleanor asked the Dedication Committee to meet after the meeting to set a date to meet with Vesper Hall chef
to arrange for refreshments and plan the program.
14th Temporary Public Art Exhibit
--The theme for the exhibit was accomplished after several bouts of voting. The decision was to name the exhibit
“Seasons”.
--Eleanor and Ramon will begin the process of writing the Call to Artist and identify the calendar dates needed for
submittal to CAFÉ.
--PAC will need to know the judges by the time Call is submitted to CAFÉ in early September so if there is a
suggestion, bring name and contact information to the July meeting.
Status/Information/Updates
--“New Growth” has been installed in front of City Hall. Eleanor is considering having a single donor for this
artwork and plans for the dedication will depend on this.
--Colonial Gardens Purchase of “Lily No. 1”. Status still uncertain.
--“Cats on Main” photos were shown by Ramon. We are encouraged to see the Cats art.
--Public Art on City Website. PAC need to provide certain information to add to the website. Will need this by
the time to go live on CAFÉ in September.
--Veterans Way Memorial Flag Schedule. Eleanor reported that the flags along the Walkway have been placed
for Flag Day, June 14 and will be placed for the July 4 weekend and she encouraged members to visit. Eleanor
1
thanked Kent for his support for the large flags that are to be placed in the entry of Pink Hill Park on certain
