Financial Report. The financial report was available for review. There were no questions 2025 Temporary Art Exhibit - Mary Herrington provided an update with the Call to Artist that is open on Café. The Call is open through November 14th. As of November 13th, only 17 submissions had been received. Mary explained that does not give the Jury many options to score or artists to bring in to potentially interview. She suggested closing the Call on Café and working with Creative Communities Alliance in hope of securing more entries. She also said we could push back the dates and try the Call on Café again in the New Year. After some discussion amongst the PAC, Ramon suggested to extend the deadline for Call to Artist on Café to December 1st and keep the artist interviews scheduled for the December 11th PAC meeting. This would allow more time to attract artists, but a shorter turn around time for staff and jurors to make their decision. After discussion Ramon made a formal motion to extend the deadline for entries to December 1st at midnight, Mountain Time. Liz seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Mary Herrington will get everything updated on CAFÉ. Veteran’s Way Memorial Sign - Mary explained the informational sign at the entrance to the memorial has been installed. The sign explains the different aspects of the memorial and lists some history behind the design of the memorial. - Ramon questioned the layout of the sign and asked if the various donors are represented on the sign. Mary said she would look into that and report back. Status/Information/Updates - G & S has completed cleaning and Prosoco coating the “Frieze” piece under I-70 and ADP. - Taylor is working on finding an indoor location “Mother and Child” can be placed at. - Ramon brough in samples of the lenses that are being used to update “Qusarac”. He provided pictures of the update including color scheme. All PAC members were impressed with the updates. - The original sign vendor for “Skateboarder” does not have the artwork on file anymore to restore the sign, and new artwork will be needed to replace the sign. Creation of the new artwork is underway. - Ramon proposed using new vendors for the temporary and permanent art signs. Ramon brough in a sample of a new sign using a product called Color Core, which is more durable and cheaper than the other material and vendors the PAC is currently using. The PAC agreed that using the new material would be a nice upgrade. - Ramon recommended adding a sign installation policy for all art. When signs are installed now, they often times take away from the art piece itself and rust stains are appearing from the screws/nuts that are being used. Mary stated before any motion is made, or passed, to add this policy, this needs to be taken to the parks maintenance team to see if they have any problems with it since they are the ones that install the signs. Mary will talk with parks maintenance and report back at the December meeting regarding the installation policy. Visitors/Public Comment - None Other Business- 1 - Mary noted three community members have shown interest and have completed an application to be on the PAC. We are waiting on the Mayor to appoint new members so we can have a full commission again. There is no word on when these new appointments will take place. As there was no further business, a motion for adjournment was made by Ramon and seconded by Liz. Meeting was adjourned at 5:00pm ___________________________________ Taylor Beller, Chairman 2
