Public Notice City of Blue Springs, Missouri Community Development Block Grant Draft 2015-2016 CDBG Annual Action Plan The City of Blue Springs is publishing the Draft 2015-2016 CDBG Annual Action Plan for review and comments. The Annual Action Plan describes the specific activities that the city will undertake during the 2015-2016 fiscal year utilizing CDBG funding. The purpose of this Notice is to invite the public to review and comment on the Draft 2015-2016 CDBG Annual Action Plan. The general public has a period of 30 days from Saturday, June 20, 2015 to offer comments on the proposed 2015-2016 CDBG Annual Action Plan. The City shall consider the views of citizens, public agencies and other interested parties in preparing its final submission and attach a summary of such comments as they relate to the plan. Following the 30 days, the City Council will approve the Annual Action Plan. The Annual Action Plan will then be submitted to HUD for their review and approval. Beginning from Saturday, June 20, 2015, any interested parties may examine a copy of the 2015-2016 Annual Action Plan at the Community Development Department or on the City of Blue Springs website at http://www.bluespringsgov.com/. Written comments may be submitted to the City of Blue Springs Community Development Department, Attn: Community Development Director, 903 West Main Street, Blue Springs, MO 64015 Funds expected to be received by the City from HUD during the 2015-2016 Plan Year are anticipated to include approximately $217,802 of CDBG funding. Proposed CDBG activities for the 2015-2016 plan year are listed below. 1. Minor Home Repair Program $60,000 2. First Time Home Buyers Program $39,000 3. Downtown Façade Grant Program $20,000 4. Downtown Alive $10,000 5. Property Acquisition/Demolition $48,802 6. Summit Street sidewalks $40,000
