PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Blue Springs UDCT-10-16-5544 Amendments to the 2015 Unified Development Code Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the City of Blue Springs, Jackson County, Missouri, will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Howard L. Brown Public Safety Building located at 1100 SW Smith Street for the purpose of hearing parties in interest and citizens relative to the proposed adoption of amendments to the 2015 Unified Development Code (UDC) as follows: 1. Section 405.030. Non-residential Building Type Standards 2. Section 411.040. Glossary 3. Section 406.020.E. Lot Arrangement 4. Section 403.050.G. Public Improvements or Performance Guarantees 5. Section 407.040.G. Landscaping Plan Required 6. Section 411.030.G. Light Industrial/Craft Manufacturing Use 7. Section 405.050.31. Building or Construction Contractor 8. Table 405.030-1. Land Use Table 9. Section 402.060. Downtown Review Board 10. Section 404.240.G Height and Area Standards, subsection 3, T-5 11. Section 405.030. Non-residential Building Type Standards, Frontage Width 12. Section 408.010. Flood Plain Management (FW-O and FF-O Districts) The changes in the Code are intended to correct errors and add clarity to the existing 2015 UDC provisions. The City Council of the City of Blue Springs will also hold a public hearing on the above noted proposed amendments to the UDC on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Brown Public Safety Building located at 1100 SW Smith Street to consider the recommendation of the Planning Commission and adoption of the amended UDC. Copies of the proposed amendments to the UDC document are available for review in the City Clerk’s Office and the Community Development Department from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at Blue Springs City Hall located at 903 W. Main Street, Blue Springs, MO and online at www.bluespringsgov.com.
