NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City Council of the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, will hold a public hearing at a Special Meeting of the City Council on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Howard L. Brown Public Safety Building, 1100 SW Smith, Blue Springs, Missouri, for the purpose of hearing citizen comments relative to the setting of the property tax rate for the City of Blue Springs for the year 2019, for its fiscal year beginning October 1, 2019, as a result of the current assessed valuation, dated July 1, 2019, from the Clerk of Jackson County. The setting of the tax rates is governed by Article X, Section 22 of the Constitution of Missouri and Sections 137.073, 137.073.2 and 137.073.4(1), RSMo.
