TTY 7-1-1.  Bluffdale Arts Advisory Board Meeting Minutes For Wednesday, March 8, 2017 1. The meeting was called to order at 8:47 pm. In attendance were Laura Garner, Lynn Farley, Amanda Luker, Marianne Dunn, Lori Howell, Dianne Kelley, Kory Luker, and Malinda Severn. 2. MOTION: The minutes from the September, January 11, 2017 meeting were approved unanimously. Motioned by Lori and seconded by Amanda .. Malinda will sign the minutes. 3. Following items were discussed / reported on: a. Assignment review for Beauty and the Beast - b. Costuming 240 cast members for Beauty and the Beast - The count is now 220 and many individuals in the cast are donating their time and sewing skills to make this happen. c. Budgets for grant due by next week - Budgets need to be turned in by the 25th. We need to know what we plan to do and how much funding we need. d . Organ Concert at the end of March - i. The BAAB are in charge of posters. The Stake is in charge of everything else. ii. Lori offered to give 8x10 calligraphy pictures to the organists as a thank you gift. The only cost would be the fram es. iii. Information about the art exhibit will be advertised in the newsletter this week. Rebecca Hansen will be gathering the artwork. iv. Bill is working on the program. e . Summer Concert - i. The last concert was held on the 24th of June. Marianne has been in contact with Nate. ii. The songwriters evening will take place on Friday. . iii. Saturday will have no prize money. There will also be no age limit.  iv. We need some money for advertising. v. The time isn't set as we need to see how many bands are performing. vi. Vye should offer free popcorn , water, and snow cones. Maybe we could have it served by the Bluffdale Royalty. vii. The banners are up now inviting interested musicians to sign up. 4. New Business: a. Upcoming Dates- Plans/Dates for next year - i. August 3-5 - Singing in the Rain at South Hills Middle ii. October - Tale of Two Cities directed by Keisha and Eric Peterson b. Venna Farnsworth wants to help with marketing for future events. c. A children's theater might be fun to do once we have access to the auditorium in Independence. 5. Next meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 8:00 pm 6. Meeting adjourned at 9:22 pm.
